The second quarter of 2025 has been a defining period for Mettalex, marked by notable improvements to the user interface, enhanced technical capabilities, and the official release of our vision for agent-based trading. Below is a summary of what we shipped across the platform.
Core Updates & Releases
A New Public Beta Experience
We rolled out a refreshed user interface (UI) on the Mettalex Public Beta. This update focuses on improving usability and performance while laying the groundwork for upcoming advanced features.
A redesigned layout with improved navigation and load times
Cleaner UI components across the trading and agent views
Real-time token pricing with accurate USD value estimates
Flexible asset pair selection and pricing precision
This marks the beginning of our phased UI/UX rollout aimed at delivering a production-ready agentic trading experience.

Mettalex Vision Paper Now Live
We released the official Mettalex Vision Paper authored by our CEO, Humayun Sheikh. The paper outlines the motivation, design, and direction of Mettalex as the first truly agentic DEX built on the principles of DeFAI (Decentralized Finance powered by AI). It also presents how Mettalex solves the longstanding inefficiencies of traditional DeFi by shifting control from protocols to users via autonomous agents.
Ultimately, as Humayun puts it, "We’re not just DeFi. We’re DeFAI."

Under-the-Hood Enhancements
Several backend upgrades were deployed throughout June to support our expanding feature set and improve the reliability of agent execution.
Trading Logic and Chain Support
Token input and output fields now allow full pair flexibility.
Live price fetching using Chainlink oracles is now more accurate.
Trade value computation and quote validation have been improved.
Agent Execution and Wallet Handling
Agents now only redirect users to wallet interfaces when relevant.
Escrow contract logic and mapping flows have been streamlined.
Agent lifecycle is tracked for more consistent cross-chain coordination.
Stability and Scalability
Improved search and order matching to avoid deadlocks.
Reduced transaction failures through more atomic execution steps.
Optimized UI feedback during agent creation and trade processing.
Enhanced Agent-to-Blockchain Communication
Agents now interact with supported blockchains more efficiently, improving transaction reliability, reducing execution delays, and enabling seamless cross-chain operations.
Thank you for being part of the journey as we push the boundaries of DeFi with agentic trading.
